- Degree in the Humanities or Social Science with at least 8 years working experience in community or public relations:
- Knowledge of principles, practices, methods and techniques related to community or public relations:
- Ability to develop and implement policies and establish project objectives to achieve them:
- Excellent understanding of community functioning and structures:
- Knowledge of governmental structures, systems, processes, and procedures:
- Ability to communicate effective both orally and in writing:
- Must be fluent in the local dialects:
- Must have excellent problem-solving and technical report writing skills:
- Ability to plan and manage multiple projects and tasks:
- Excellent knack of establishing and maintaining effective working relationships:
- Ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of people.
- Ability to speak and hear to exchange information, provide information, and make presentation:
- Must be computer literate in MS Office software including Word, Excel, powerpoint, electronic mail etc:
- Ability to work for extended hours:
- Must possess valid Ghanaian driving license.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement strategies to maintain good relations between the Company and its stakeholder communities:
- Plan, develop, lead, organize and manage effective community-relations programme/activities to enhance and unify the Company’s stakeholder communities and among the general public:
- Develop methods and techniques for achieving improved communications between the Company and its stakeholder communities:
- Formulate and implement proactive community-relations policies and procedures ensure that the needs of all stakeholders are GSBPL’s operations.
- Supervise investigations into all reported community – based incidents or complaints and ensure follow-ups or further evaluation is implemented:
- Ensure the formation and operation of community consultative committees in all the mine catchment areas:
- Ensure the efficient management and supervision of all community projects sponsored by the company:
- Supervise all compensation activities in the Community Affairs Department:
- Create a sustained community-awareness programme among the Company’s workforce:
- Liaise with relevant governmental agencies to address community-related matters:
- Perform any other related duties assigned from time to time.
